Before becoming a wine merchant, Paul Marcus of Paul Marcus Wines was the music buyer at Leopold’s. If you were to find him there today, he’d guide you to his current favorite CDs, Charlie Haden’s “Nocturnes,” Gillian Welch’s “The Revelator,” Lucinda Williams’ “World Without Tears,” and Antony and the Johnsons’ “I Am a Bird Now.” But since he’s in the business of selling wine, he suggests the following for at home entertaining or holiday giving.
The next PMW wine dinner will take place at the Bay Wolf on Tuesday 17 January and features the wines of Burgundy. Chef Michael Wild is preparing a special prix fixe menu, and Burgundy connoisseur extraordinaire Paul Marcus is selecting the wines.
PMW staff will be there to pour and talk about the wines of Burgundy.
